अयनेषु च सर्वेषु यथाभागमवस्थिताः। भीष्ममेवाभिरक्षन्तु भवन्तः सर्व एव हि ॥१-११॥

ajaneṣu ča sarveṣu jathābhāgamavasthitāḣ । bhīṣmamevābhirakšantu bhavantaḣ sarva eva hi ॥1-11॥

अयनेषु ayaneṣu(n. loco pl.), = in positions, in progress, in goings, in movements.; च ca, = and.; सर्वेषु sarveṣu (n. loc. pl.), = in all.; यथाभागम yathābhāgam (adv.), = according to shares, each in his respective place.; अवस्थिताः avasthitas (m. nom. pI. p. pass. participle ava *stha), stationed, placed, following(as of a command).; भीष्म Bhismam (m. acc. sg.), Bhisma, the old Kaurava warrior chief.; एव eva, = indeed (often used as a rhythmic filler).; अभिरक्षन्तु ābhirakṣantu (3rd pI. imperative abhi Jrak~), = protect ye! protect!; भवन्तः bhavantas (honorific nom. pl.), = ye, your lord ships.; सर्व sarva (samdhi for sarve, m. nom. pl.), all.; एव eva, = indeed (used here for emphasis.); हि hi, = of course, truly, indeed.
