बृहत्साम तथा साम्नां गायत्री छन्दसामहम् ।मासानां मार्गशीर्षोऽहमृतूनां कुसुमाकरः ॥ १०-३५॥

bṛhatsāma tathā sāmnāṃ gāyatrī chandasāmaham ।māsānāṃ mārgaśīrṣo'hamṛtūnāṃ kusumākaraḥ ॥ 10-35॥

बृहत्साम bṛhatsāma = the Brhatsaman, a type of Vedic melody.

तथा tathā =   also, thus.;

साम्नां sāmnāṃ  =   of chants.;

गायत्री gāyatrī  =   the giiyatri metre, used in the Vedas, obsolete in later Sanskrit.;

छन्दसाम chandasām =   of metres.; ।

अहम् aham  =   I.;

मासानां māsānāṃ  =   of months.;

मार्गशीर्षो mārgaśīrṣo  =   month of miir-gaslr~a, roughly November-December.;

ऽहम aham  =  I.;

मृतूनां ṛtūnāṃ  =   of seasons.;

कुसुमाकरः kusumākaraḥ  =  abounding with flowers, Spring.
