अश्वत्थः सर्ववृक्षाणां देवर्षीणां च नारदः ।गन्धर्वाणां चित्ररथः सिद्धानां कपिलो मुनिः ॥ १०-२६॥

aśvatthaḥ sarvavṛkṣāṇāṃ devarṣīṇāṃ ca nāradaḥ ।gandharvāṇāṃ citrarathaḥ siddhānāṃ kapilo muniḥ ॥ 10-26॥

अश्वत्थः aśvatthaḥ =   the asvattha, or sacred fig tree.;

सर्ववृक्षाणां sarvavṛkṣāṇāṃ = of all trees, among all trees.;

देवर्षीणां devarṣīṇāṃ  =   of divine seers.

नारदः náradaḣ =   Niirada, an ancient seer.;

गन्धर्वाणां gandharváṇáṁ  = of the Gand-harvas, of the heavenly musicians.; 

चित्ररथः čitrarathaḣ =   Čitraratha, chief of the Gandharvas. The name is a  "He whose chariot is bright.";

सिद्धानां siddhánáṁ  = , of the perfected, of the successful.;

कपिलो kapiló  =   Kapila, founder of Samkhja, a school of philosophy.;

मुनिः muniḥ  =   sage, wise man.;
