रागद्वेषवियुक्तैस्तु विषयानिन्द्रियैश्चरन् ।आत्मवश्यैर्विधेयात्मा प्रसादमधिगच्छति ॥२- ६४॥ |
rāgadveṣaviyuktaistu viṣayānindriyaiścaran ।ātmavaśyairvidheyātmā prasādamadhigacchati ॥2- 64॥ |
राग raga (m.), = passion, desire.; द्वेष dvesa (m.), = hatred, loathing.; वियुक्त viyuktas (m. nom. sg. p. pass. participle vi*yuj), = unjoined, eliminated.; तु tu, = but, however.; विषय visayan (m. acc. pl.), = objects, spheres of action, provinces, fields.; इन्द्रिय indriyafs (n. inst. pl.), = by the senses, with the senses.; चरन् caran (m. nom. sg. pr. participle act. *car), = moving, engaging.; आत्मवश्यै atmavasyais (m. inst. pl.), = controlled by selfrestraints, by self-controls, with self-re-straints.; विधेय vidheya (gerundive vi *dha), = to be enjoined, to be governed, to be subdued, to be controlled.; आत्मा atma (m. nom. sg.), = self. (vidheyatma, m. nom. sg. BY cpd., he whose self is controllable.); प्रसादम prasadam (m. acc. sg.), = tranquility, peace.; अधिगच्छति adhigaeehati (3rd sg. pr. indic. act. adhi *gam), = he goes to, he attains, he reaches. |
But the person, who is free from attachment and heartedness, frees his mind
and keeps it under control. In this way he is capable of controlling the senses
and enjoys the objects. He then becomes firmly fixed in God, and enjoys the
bliss. ||2-64||
