साधनपाद,-Sādhana-Pāda, (S.-0, Ch.-2, V.-22)

कृतार्थं प्रतिनष्टंअप्यनष्टं तदन्य साधारणत्वात् ॥२२॥

kr̥tārthaṁ pratinaṣṭaṁ-apy-anaṣṭaṁ tadanya sādhāraṇatvāt ॥22॥

krita-artham = one whose purpose has been accomplished (krita = accomplished; artham = purpose)

prati = towards, with regard to

nashtam = ceased, dissolved, finished, destroyed

api = even, although

anashtam = has not ceased, not dissolved, not finished, not destroyed

tat = that

anya = for others

sadharanatvat = being common to others, due to commonness

Once an object has fulfilled its purpose, it does not disappear but instead remains in existence as such for others; for the object is valid for all. ||22||
