भोजनं अहितं विद्यात्पुनरस्योष्णीकृतं रूक्षम् । अतिलवणं अम्लयुक्तं कदशनशाकोत्कं वर्ज्यम् ॥ १.६२ ॥

bhojanaṃ ahitaṃ vidyātpunarasyoṣṇīkṛtaṃ rūkṣam । atilavaṇaṃ amlayuktaṃ kadaśanaśākotkaṃ varjyam ॥ 1.62 ॥

Bhojanam - food Ahitaṁ - unhealthy Vidyāt - have to know Punar - again Asya - for such an Uṣṇī-kṁtaṁ - warmed up, warm-made Rūkṣam - dry, rough Ati - all Lavaṇam - salty Amla - acid, the acidic flavor Yuktaṁ - inclusive, to have Kad-aśana - bad food, spoiled Śāka - vegetables Utkaṁaṁ - excess to Varjyam - is to be avoided || 62 ||


Food that has been reheated, that is dry, contains too much salt and is sour, old, or, for example, raw vegetables - all of this should not be eaten.
