पद्मासने स्थितो योगी नाडीद्वारेण पूरितम् ।
मारुतं धारयेद्यस्तु स मुक्तो नात्र संशयः ॥ १.५१ ॥ |
padmāsane sthito yogī nāḍīdvāreṇa pūritam ।
mārutaṃ dhārayedyastu sa mukto nātra saṃśayaḥ ॥ 1.51 ॥ |
Padma-āsane - in Lotus posture;
Sthitaḥ - to be in position;
Yogī - yogin;
Nāḍī - (the subtle energy channel) (Nadi);
Dvāreṇa - through the gate;
Pūritam - inhaled, filled;
Mārutaṁ - wind, air;
Dhārayet - to hold, by retaining;
Yaḥ - which;
Tu - but;
Saḥ - this;
Muktaḥ - liberated;
Na - not;
Atra - here;
Saṁśayaḥ - doubt.

The Yogi who, sitting in Padmásana, moves the Váyu (retained upon inhalation) to the gate of the Nadi (Sushumna) undoubtedly attains liberation.
