इदं पद्मासनं प्रोक्तं सर्वव्याधिविनाशनम् । दुर्लभं येन केनापि धीमता लभ्यते भुवि ॥ १.४९ ॥

idaṃ padmāsanaṃ proktaṃ sarvavyādhivināśanam । durlabhaṃ yena kenāpi dhīmatā labhyate bhuvi ॥ 1.49 ॥

Idaṁ - that, this; Padma-āsanaṁ - Lotus posture; Proktaṁ - is called; Sarva - all; Vyādhi - disease; Vināśanam - destroyer; Dur-labhaṁ - difficult to attain; Yena kena api - always by ordinary person; Dhīmatā - wise person; Labhyate - obtained; Bhuvi - on earth.


This is called the Padmásana, the destroyer of all diseases. It is difficult for everybody to achieve, but it can be mastered by a wise person from this world.
