उत्तानौ चरणौ कृत्वा ऊरुसंस्थौ प्रयत्नतः । ऊरुमध्ये तथोत्तानौ पाणी कृत्वा ततो दृशौ ॥ १.४७ ॥

uttānau caraṇau kṛtvā ūrusaṃsthau prayatnataḥ । ūrumadhye tathottānau pāṇī kṛtvā tato dṛśau ॥ 1.47 ॥

Uttānau - facing upwards (soles); Caraṇau - both feet; Kṛtvā - bringing, to do, to make; Ūru - thigh (on the opposite); Saṁsthau - to place; Prayatnataḥ - carefully, by the best effort; Ūru - the thigh; Madhye - in the middle; Tathā - and, likewise; Uttānau - facing upwards (palm); Pāṇī - both hands; Kṛtvā - to do, to make; Tataḥ - then, thereafter; Dṛśau - both eyes.
