यावन्नैव प्रविशति चरन्मारुतो मध्यमार्गे यावद्विदुर्न भवति दृढः प्राणवातप्रबन्धात् । यावद्ध्याने सहजसदृशं जायते नैव तत्त्वं तावज्ज्ञानं वदति तदिदं दम्भमिथ्याप्रलापः ॥ ४.११४ ॥

yāvannaiva praviśati caranmāruto madhyamārge yāvadvidurna bhavati dṛḍhaḥ prāṇavātaprabandhāt । yāvaddhyāne sahajasadṛśaṃ jāyate naiva tattvaṃ tāvajjñānaṃ vadati tadidaṃ dambhamithyāpralāpaḥ ॥ 4.114 ॥

Yāvat: as long as (Yavat) Na: not (Na) Eva: really (Eva) Praviśati *: enters (into the Brahmarandhra, pra + viś) Caran: (the) flowing ("changing", car) Mārutaḥ: life breath, the Prana ("wind", Maruta) Madhya-mārge *: in the middle path (Madhya-Marga) Yāvat: as long as Binduḥ: the seed (bindu) Na: not Bhavati: will (Bhava) Dḥhaḥ: solid (dridha) Prāṇa-vāta: (the) life wind (Prana-Vata) Prabandhāt **: due to inhibition ("Bändige", Prabandha) Yāvat: as long as Dhyāne: in meditation (dhyana) Saha-ja ***: (the) natural ("congenital" condition, Sahaja) Sadṛśaṃ: same as (Sadrisha) Jāyate: will (jan) Na: not Eva: really Tattvaṃ: (the) spirit, (the spiritual) principle (Tattva) Tāvat: as long as (Tavat) Jñānaṃ: Knowledge (Jnana) Vadati: (what one) (vad) Tad idaṃ: exactly that, ebendas (Tad Idam) Dambha: (on) hypocrisy (based, Dambha) Mithyā: empty ("wrong", Mithya) Pralāpaḥ: chatter (Pralapa) || 114 ||


As long as the Prâna does not enter into and flow through the middle channel, as long as the bindu does not become firm by controlling the movements of the Prâna, and as long as the mind does not assume the form of Brahma, without any effort in contemplation, then all talk of knowledge and wisdom is merely the nonsensical babbling of a madman.
