उपदेशं हि मुद्राणां यो दत्ते साम्प्रदायिकम् । स एव श्रीगुरुः स्वामी साक्षादीश्वर एव सः ॥ ३.१२९ ॥ |
upadeśaṃ hi mudrāṇāṃ yo datte sāmpradāyikam । sa eva śrīguruḥ svāmī sākṣādīśvara eva saḥ ॥ 3.129 ॥ |

Datte: (further) gives (dā)

Śrī: (is a) venerable (Shri)
Guruḥ: Teacher (Guru)
Svāmī: (and) Master, Master (Svamin)
Sākṣāt: (the) bodily (Sakshat)
Īśvara: Lord, God (Svamin)

One who teaches the mudrâs as handed down from guru to guru should really be considered Îshvara in human form. |
