आदिनाथोदितं दिव्यं अष्टैश्वर्यप्रदायकम् ।
वल्लभं सर्वसिद्धानां दुर्लभं मरुतां अपि ॥ ३.८ ॥ |
ādināthoditaṃ divyaṃ aṣṭaiśvaryapradāyakam ।
vallabhaṃ sarvasiddhānāṃ durlabhaṃ marutāṃ api ॥ 3.8 ॥ |
Ādi-nātha: (from) the primordial Lord (Adinatha, a form of Shivas)
Uditaṁ *: (this group of ten Mudras) was taught (Udita)
Divyam: (she is) divine, heavenly (divya)
Aṣṭa: (the) eight (ashta)
Aiśvarya **: supernatural powers ("glories", Aishvarya)
Pradāyakam: (and she) lends (Pradayaka)
Vallabhaṁ: (she) is estimated ("is dear," Vallabha)
Sarva: (from) all (Sarva)
Siddhānāṁ: Perfect (Siddhas)
Dur-labhaṁ: (she) is difficult to master ("to attain", Durlabha)
Marutām: from the gods ("Windgöttern", Marut)
Api: even, itself (Api) || 8 ||

They have been explained by Âdi Nâtha (Shiva) and give eight kinds of divine wealth. They are loved by all the
Siddhas and are hard to attain even by the Marutas.
Note: The eight Aishvaryas are: Animâ, Mahimâ, Garimâ, Prâpti, Prâkâmya, Îsatâ, Vashitva
