प्राणस्य शून्यपदवी तदा राजपथायते ।
तदा चित्तं निरालम्बं तदा कालस्य वञ्चनम् ॥ ३.३ ॥ |
prāṇasya śūnyapadavī tadā rājapathāyate ।
tadā cittaṃ nirālambaṃ tadā kālasya vañcanam ॥ 3.3 ॥ |
Prāṇasya: for life energy Prana
Śūnya-padavī: Path of the Void;
Tadā: then;
Rāja-pathāyate: royal way;
Tadā: then;
Cittaṁ: mind;
Nir-ālambaṁ: without support;
Tadā: then;
Kālasya: death, of time;
Vañcanam: escape, escape; || 3 ||

When the Sushumnâ (Sûnya Padavî) becomes the main road for the passage of Prâna, the mind becomes free of all attachment (to objects of enjoyment/fixation) and Death is evaded.
