अथ मूर्च्छा पूरकान्ते गाढतरं बद्ध्वा जालन्धरं शनैः । रेचयेन्मूर्च्छाख्येयं मनोमूर्च्छा सुखप्रदा ॥ २.६९ ॥

atha mūrcchā pūrakānte gāḍhataraṃ baddhvā jālandharaṃ śanaiḥ । recayenmūrcchākhyeyaṃ manomūrcchā sukhapradā ॥ 2.69 ॥

Atha - now Mūrcchā - swoon Pūraka - Inhalation Ante - at the end Gāḍhataraṁ - all fixed Baddhvā - binding, fixing Jālandharaṁ - Jalandhara Śanaiḥ - slow, gradual Recayet - expelling the breath Mūrcchanā - swoon Ākhyā - is name, is called Iyaṁ - this Manas - mind Mūrcchā - swoon Sukha-pradā - leads happiness || 69 ||


Close the passages by performing Jâlandhars Bandha firmly at the end of Pûraka slowly expel the air - this is called Mûrchhâ Kumbhaka. Its practice causes the mind to swoon and gives one a sense of comfort.
