अथ मयूरासनम्। धरामवष्टभ्य करयोस्तसाभ्यां तत्कूर्परे स्थापित नाभिपार्श्वम्। उच्चासनो दण्डवदुत्थिः खे मायूरमेतं प्रवदन्ति पीठम् ॥२५॥ |
atha mayūrāsanam। dharāmavaṣṭabhya karayostasābhyāṃ tatkūrpare sthāpita nābhipārśvam। uccāsano daṇḍavadutthiḥ khe māyūrametaṃ pravadanti pīṭham ॥25॥ |
19.- THE MAYURASANA. |
Place the palms of the two hands on the ground, place the umbilical region on the two elbows, stand upon the hands, the legs being raised in the air, and crossed like Padmasana. This is called the Mayurasana (Peacock-posture). The Peacock-posture destroys the effects of unwholesome food; it produces heat in the stomach; it destroys the effect of deadly poisons; it easily cures diseases, like Gulma nad fever; such is this useful posture. |
