अथ धनुरासनम्। प्रसार्य्य पादौ भुवि दण्डरूपौ करौ च पृष्ठे धृतपादयुग्मम्। कृत्वा धनुस्तुल्यपरिवर्त्तिताङ्गं निगद्य योगी धनुरासनं तत् ॥१८॥ |
atha dhanurāsanam। prasāryya pādau bhuvi daṇḍarūpau karau ca pṛṣṭhe dhṛtapādayugmam। kṛtvā dhanustulyaparivarttitāṅgaṃ nigadya yogī dhanurāsanaṃ tat ॥18॥ |

Spreading the legs on the ground, straight like a stick, and catching hold of (the toes of) the feet with the hands, and making the body bent like a bow, is called by the Yogis the Dhanurasana of Bow-posture). |
