| तृतीयोध्यायः,-Tratiyóddhyāya, (Ch.-3, V.-53) |
वितस्तिप्रमितं दीर्घं विस्तारे चतुरंगुलम्। मृदुलं धवलं सूक्ष्मं वेष्टनाम्बर लक्षणम् ॥५३॥ |
vitastipramitaṃ dīrghaṃ vistāre caturaṃgulam। mṛdulaṃ dhavalaṃ sūkṣmaṃ veṣṭanāmbara lakṣaṇam ॥53॥ |

One cubit long, and four fingers (3 inches) wide, should be the encircling cloth, soft, white and of fine texture. Join this cloth with the Kati-Sutra (a string worn round the loins.) |
