| तृतीयोध्यायः,-Tratiyóddhyāya, (Ch.-3, V.-27) |
रसनां तालुमध्ये तु शनैः शनैः प्रवेशयेत्। कपालकुहरेजिह्वा प्रविष्टा विपरीतगा। भ्रुवोर्मध्ये गता दृष्टिमुर्द्रा भवति खेचरी ॥२७॥ |
rasanāṃ tālumadhye tu śanaiḥ śanaiḥ praveśayet। kapālakuharejihvā praviṣṭā viparītagā। bhruvormadhye gatā dṛṣṭimurdrā bhavati khecarī ॥27॥ |

Then (the tongue being lengthened) practise, turning it upwards and backwards so as to touch the palate, till at length it reaches the holes of the nostrils opening into the mouth. Close those holes with the tongue (thus stopping inspiration), and fix the gaze on the space between the two eyebrows. This is called Khechari. |
