अस्माकं तु विशिष्टा ये तान्निबोध द्विजोत्तम ।नायका मम सैन्यस्य संज्ञार्थं तान् ब्रवीमि ते ॥१-७॥

asmākaṁ tu viśiṣṭā je tānnibodha dvidžottama ।nājakā mama sainjasja saṃjñārthaṁ tān bravīmi te ॥1-7॥

अस्माकं asmakam (gen. pl.), ours, our.; तु  tu, indeed, truly.; विशिष्टा visistas (m. nom. pI. p. pass. participle *sis), distinguished, particular, preemi-nent.;  ये ye (m. nom. pl.), who.; तान tan (m. acc. pl.), them.; निबोध nibodha (2nd sg. imperative act. ni *budh), know! understand!; द्विज dvija (m.), twice-born, member of one of the three highest castes.; उत्तम uttama (m.), highest chief, most excellent. (dvijottama, m. voc. sg.
