नासतो विद्यते भावो नाभावो विद्यते सतः ।उभयोरपि दृष्टोऽन्तस्त्वनयोस्तत्त्वदर्शिभिः ॥२- १६॥ |
nāsato vidyate bhāvo nābhāvo vidyate sataḥ ।ubhayorapi dṛṣṭo'ntastvanayostattvadarśibhiḥ ॥2- 16॥ |
न na, = not.; असतो asatas (n. gen. sg. pr. participle a .*as) = of the nonexistent, of the not real.; विद्यते vidyate (3rd sg. pr. indic. pass . .*vid), it is found.; भाव bhavas (m. nom. sg.), being, coming to be, becoming.; न na, = not.; अभाव abhavas (m. nom. sg.), = not being, not existing, not becoming.; विद्यते vidyate (3rd sg. pr. indic. pass . .*vid), = it is found.; सतः satah (n. gen. sg. pr. participle .j as), = of the real, of the true, of the existent.; उभयो ubhayos (m. gen. dual), = of both.; अपि api, indeed, surely, also, even.; दृष्टो drsto (n. nom. sg. p. pass. participle .*drs), = seen, perceived, discerned.; ऽन्त antas (m. nom. sg.), certainty, conclusion, = end. ; स्त्व c tu, = indeed, but.; अनयोस् anayos (m. gen. dual), = of these two.; तत्त्व tattva (n.), = truth, reality, "thatness."; दर्शिभिः drśibhiḥ (m. inst. pI. from .jd~s TP cpd.), = by the seers, by the perceivers, by the discerners, by the knowers. |
The unreal has no existence and the real has no deficiency. This is the
conclusion of real and unreal by the seers of truth. ||2-16||
