अव्यक्ताद् व्यक्तयः सर्वाः प्रभवन्त्यहरागमे ।रात्र्यागमे प्रलीयन्ते तत्रैवाव्यक्तसंज्ञके ॥ ८-१८॥ |
avyaktād vyaktayaḥ sarvāḥ prabhavantyaharāgame । rātryāgame pralīyante tatraivāvyaktasaṃjñake ॥ 8-18॥ |
avyaktād (m. abl. sg.), from the unmanifest, from the invisible. vyaktayah (f. nom. pl.), manifestations, ap-pearances. sarváḣ (f. nom. pl.), all. prabhavanti (3rd pI. pr. indic. act. pra .Jbhu), they come forth, they originate. aharāgame (m. loco sg.), at the arrival of day. rātryāgame (m. loco sg.), at the arrival of night. pralīyante (3rd pI. pr. indic. pass. pra .Jlf), they are dissolved, they are reabsorbed, they disappear. tatra, there, in that case. eva, indeed (used as a rhythmic filler). avyakta (m.), unmanifest. saṃjñake (m. loco sg.), known as, in known as, when known as, to be known as. (avyaktasaṃjñake, m. loco sg. BV cpd., whose name is the unmanifest.) |
All living entities come into being from Brahma when his day is manifest
and at the arrival of Brahma’s night they are all annihilated in him. ||8-18||
