न कर्तृत्वं न कर्माणि लोकस्य सृजति प्रभुः । न कर्मफलसंयोगं स्वभावस्तु प्रवर्तते ॥ ५-१४॥

na kartṛtvaṃ na karmāṇi lokasya sṛjati prabhuḥ । na karmaphalasaṃyogaṃ svabhāvastu pravartate ॥ 5-14॥

न = na, not.

कर्तृत्वं = kartṛtvaṃ (n. acc. sg.), agency, means of ac-tion, state of performing action.

न = na, not, nor.; 

कर्माणि = karmāṇi (n. acc. pl.), actions.; 

लोकस्य = lokasya (m. gen. sg.), of the world, of peo-ple.; 

सृजति = sṛjati (3rd sg. pro indic. act . *Srj), he creates, he brings forth, it creates, it lets flow.; 

प्रभुः= prabhus (m. nom. sg.), the Lord, the Mighty One, the atman or self .; 

न = na, not, nor.; 

कर्म = karma (n.), action.; 

फल = phala (n.), fruit.; 

संयोगं = saṃyoga (m. acc. sg.), yoking together, union. (karmaphalasaṃyogaṃ, m. acc. sg. TP cpd., the union of action with its fruit.); 

स्वभाव = svabhāva (m. nom. sg.), nature, sponta-neousness (in the sense of nature's spon-taneousness) .; 

तु = tu, but, on the other hand.; 

प्रवर्तते = pravartate (3rd sg. pro indic. mid. pra .*Vrt), it proceeds, it turns, it works.
