| Bhagavadgíta,-ज्ञानकर्मसंन्यासयोगः jñānakarmasaṃnyāsay, (S.-1, Ch.-4, V.-25) |
दैवमेवापरे यज्ञं योगिनः पर्युपासते । ब्रह्माग्नावपरे यज्ञं यज्ञेनैवोपजुह्वति ॥ ४-२५॥ |
daivamevāpare yajñaṃ yoginaḥ paryupāsate । brahmāgnāvapare yajñaṃ yajñenaivopajuhvati ॥ 4-25॥ |
दैवम = daivam (m. acc. sg.), to a god, relating to a god.; एव = eva, indeed (used as a rhythmic filler).; अपरे = apare (m. nom. pl.), some, others.; यज्ञं = yajñaṃ (m. acc. sg.), sacrifice, religious of-fering.; योगिनः = yogina (m. nom. pl.), yogins.; पर्युपासते = paryupasate (3rd pI. pr. indic. mid. pari upavas), they practice.; ब्रह्माग्नौ = brahmagnau (m. loco sg.), in Brahman fire, in the fire of Brahman.; अपरे = apare (m. nom. pl.), some, others.; यज्ञं = yajñaṃ (m. acc. sg.), sacrifice, religious of-fering.; यज्ञेन = yajñena (m. inst. sg.), by sacrifice.; एव = eva, indeed (used as a rhythmic filler).; उपजुह्वति = upajuhvati (3rd pI. pr. indic. act. upa .j hu), they offer, they sacrifice, they present ob-lations. |
Some Mystics (Yogis) perform sacrifices unto the demigods perfectly, while
others perform sacrifices in the fire of the Supreme Lord. ||4-25||
