व्यवसायात्मिका बुद्धिरेकेह कुरुनन्दन ।बहुशाखा ह्यनन्ताश्च बुद्धयोऽव्यवसायिनाम् ॥२- ४१॥ |
vyavasāyātmikā buddhirekeha kurunandana ।bahuśākhā hyanantāśca buddhayo'vyavasāyinām ॥2- 41॥ |
व्यवसाया vyavasaya (m. noun from vi ava ../so), = determination, resolve, purpose, intention.; आत्मिका atmika (f. nom. sg. ifc.), = of the nature of, "selved."; buddhi (f. nom. sg.), = insight, enlightenment, intelligence.; एका eka (f. nom. sg.), = one.; इह iha, = here, in this place, in this world, in this matter.; कुरुनन्दन kurunandana (m. voc. sg.), = Descendant of Kuru, epithet of AIjuna,; बहु bahu, = many, much; शाखा sakha (f. nom. pl.), = branches.; ह्य hi, = indeed, truly.; अनन्ता ananta (f. nom. pl.), = endless, infinite, having no end.; च ca, = and.; बुद्धयो buddhaya (f. nom. pl.), = insights, intelligences, enlightenments.; ऽव्यवसायिनाम् avyavasayinam (m. gen. pI. from a vi ava ".*so), = of the irresolute, of the wavering. |
O son of Kunti! This path of Karma definitely provides the mind to offer
everything to the Lord. The minds of the ignorant people are filled with
many types of branches (it is filled with unlimited, lusty material desires).
