yadā yadā hi dharmasya glānirbhavati bhārata । abhyutthānamadharmasya tadātmānaṃ sṛjāmyaham ॥ 4-7॥

यदा यदा = yada yada, whenever.; 

हि = hi, indeed, truly.; 

धर्मस्य = dharmasya (m. gen. sg.), of righteousness, of duty, of law.; 

ग्लानि = glanis (f. nom. sg.), exhaustion, decrease.;
