Atmabodha,-The Birth of the EGO, (S.-1, Ch.-6, V.-31) |
आविद्यकं शरीरादि दृश्यं बुद्बुदवत्क्षरम् ।
एतद्विलक्षणं विद्यादहं ब्रह्मेति निर्मलम् ॥ ३१॥ |
āvidyakaṃ śarīrādi dṛśyaṃ budbudavatkṣaram ।
etadvilakṣaṇaṃ vidyādahaṃ brahmeti nirmalam ॥ 31॥ |
|
1 Aavidyakam shareer-aadi: The body, etc, up to the causal body,
2 drishyam budbuda-vat ksharam; are perceivable objects, perishable as bubbles.
3 etad vi-lakshanam vidyaat Realise, “I am different from all these,”
4 “aham brahma” iti nirmalam. “I am the ever pure Brahman”.
|
The forms of all three Sareeras viz' the
gross (sthoola), the subtle (sookshma) and
the causal (karana) are time bound like
bubbles in water. Atma is none of these and
is Pure Brahma itself.
Once any one realises through
discrimination that he is nothing but Pure
Brahma, he will not identify himself with any
of the Sareeras and is immune to all dualities
and feelings.
