१. सूत्रस्थानम् 1.sūtrasthānam,-Ritucharya adhyaya ऋतुचया, (S.-1, Ch.-3, V.-11-14) |
कषायापहृत-स्नेहस् ततः स्नातो यथा-विधि । कुङ्कुमेन स-दर्पेण प्रदिग्धो ऽगुरु-धूपितः ॥ ११ ॥ रसान् स्निग्धान् पलं पुष्टं गौडम् अच्छ-सुरां सुराम् । गोधूम-पिष्ट-माषेक्षु-क्षीरोत्थ-विकृतीः शुभाः ॥ १२ ॥ नवम् अन्नं वसां तैलं शौच-कार्ये सुखोदकम् । प्रावाराजिन-कौशेय-प्रवेणी-कौचवास्तृतम् ॥ १३ ॥ उष्ण-स्व-भावैर् लघुभिः प्रावृतः शयनं भजेत् । युक्त्यार्क-किरणान् स्वेदं पाद-त्राणं च सर्व-दा ॥ १४ ॥ |
kuṅkumena sa-darpeṇa pradigdho 'guru-dhūpitaḥ ॥ 11 ॥ rasān snigdhān palaṃ puṣṭaṃ gauḍam accha-surāṃ surām । godhūma-piṣṭa-māṣekṣu-kṣīrottha-vikṛtīḥ śubhāḥ ॥ 12 ॥ navam annaṃ vasāṃ tailaṃ śauca-kārye sukhodakam । prāvārājina-kauśeya-praveṇī-kaucavāstṛtam ॥ 13 ॥ uṣṇa-sva-bhāvair laghubhiḥ prāvṛtaḥ śayanaṃ bhajet । yuktyārka-kiraṇān svedaṃ pāda-trāṇaṃ ca sarva-dā ॥ 14 ॥ |
Afterwards clean the oil applied over the body with the powder or decoctions of kasaya rasa (astringent) drugs and then have bath systematically. Later on apply pastes of kumkuma (safron) and darpa/kastúrí (musk) on the body followed by dhúpa (fumigation) with aguru. Then take food containing snigdha mámsa rasa (unctuous mutton soup), meat of well nourished animals, wine prepared from guda (jaggary), surámanda, súra, wheat powder, black gram, food prepared with sugarcane and milk, freshly harvested rice, vasá (muscule fat) and taila (gingelly oil). Use only warm water for drinking, bathing and also for washing. Then lie down by covering with heat protecting blankets viz. právára (a thick sheet made of with cotton and wool), ájina (sheet made by furred animal skins), kouśaya (silk cloth), pravení (sheet made by jute and other fibers), koucava (shawl) etc. Resort proper sudation by exposing to sunrays. It is specially recommended to wear footwear always. |
