परत्र समवायात् प्रत्यक्षत्वाच्च नात्मगुणो न मनोगुणः ॥ २.१.२६ ॥ |
paratra samavāyāt pratyakṣatvācca nātmaguṇo na manoguṇaḥ || 2.1.26 || |
Nor of Soul, nor of Mind

paratra—elsewhere, with other objects; samavāyāt—because of combination; pratyakṣatvāt—because it is an object of sense-percept ion; ca—and; also; na—not; ātma-gnṇaḥ—an Attribute of Soul; na—not; mano-guṇaḥ—an Attribute of Mind.
|
Verse: Because it combines with other objects, and because it is an object of sense-perception, therefore sound is neither an Attribute of Soul nor an Attribute of Mind.
