न च दृष्टानां स्पर्श इत्यदृष्टलिङ्गो वायुः ॥ २.१.१० ॥

na ca dṛṣṭānāṃ sparśa ityadṛṣṭaliṅgo vāyuḥ || 2.1.10 ||

Touch which infers Air, cannot be explained by visible objects


na—not; ca—and; Dṛṣṭānām, of the observed or visible or seen. Sparśaḥ, touch. Iti, hence. A-dṛṣṭa-liṅgaḥ, not-containing-the-mark-of-the-visible. Vāyuḥ, air.

Verse: And it is not the Touch of the visible (Substances); hence the mark (of the inference) of Air is not the mark of the visible (Substances).
