भावो ऽनुवृत्तेरेव हेतुत्वात् सामान्यमेव ॥ १.२.४ ॥

bhāvo 'nuvṛttereva hetutvāt sāmānyameva || 1.2.4 ||

Existence is Genus only


bhāvaḥ—existence, being; anuvṛtteḥ—of recurrence, assimilation or extensive denotation; eva—only; hetutvāt—being the cause; sāmānyam—Genus; eva—only.

Verse: Existence, being the cause of assimilation only, is only a Genus.
