अप्सु तेजसि वायौ च नित्या द्रव्यनित्यवात् ॥ ७.१.४ ॥

apsu tejasi vāyau ca nityā dravyanityavāt || 7.1.4 ||

apsu—in water; tejasi—in fire; vāyan—in air; ca—and; nityāḥ—eternal; dravya-nityatvāt—in consequence of the eternality of substrata.

Verse: And also in consequence of the eternality of their (respective) substrata, (Colour, etc.) are eternal in Water, Fire, and Air.
