brāhmaṇe—in the portion of Veda, so called; saṃjñā-karma—attribution or distribution of names; siddhi-liṅgaṃ—mark of knowledge of things named, or of the conclusion that the Veda, is an intelligent production.

Verse: The distribution of names in the Brāhmaṇa (portion of the Veda) is a mark of knowledge, (on the part of the framer of the names), of the things named (therein).
