| कठोपनिषत्् (katha upanišad),-कठोपनिषत्् (valli V), (S.-4, Ch.-5, V.-6) |
हन्त त इदं प्रवक्ष्यामि गुह्यं ब्रह्म सनातनम् । यथा च मरणं प्राप्य आत्मा भवति गौतम ॥ ६॥ |
hanta ta idaṃ pravakṣyāmi guhyaṃ brahma sanātanam । yathā ca maraṇaṃ prāpya ātmā bhavati gautama ॥ 6॥ |
hanta = well, now again; gautama = O Gautama; te = to you; pravakṣyāmi = I will relate, tell; idaṁ = this; guhyam = secret, mystery; brahma sanātanam = of the eternal Brahman; maraṇam prāpya = after having attained death; yathā = how; ātmā = the Self; bhavati = becomes, fares. |
Well then, Gautama, I shall tell you about this profound and eternal Brahman and also about what happens to the atman after meeting death.
