अथ खेचरी सव्यदक्षिणनाडीस्थो मध्ये चरति मारुतः । तिष्ठते खेचरी मुद्रा तस्मिन्स्थाने न संशयः ॥ ४.४३ ॥ |
atha khecarī savyadakṣiṇanāḍīstho madhye carati mārutaḥ । tiṣṭhate khecarī mudrā tasminsthāne na saṃśayaḥ ॥ 4.43 ॥ |

Khe-carī: Khechari (Mudra)
Savya: left (Savya, i.e., Ida)
Dakṇiṇa: (and) right (Dakshina, i.e., Pingala)
Nāḍī-sthaḥ: (in the two fine-energy channels) (Nadi Stha)
Madhye: in the middle (Madhya, that is in Sushumna)
Carati: flows (car)
Mārutaḥ: (when the) life breath, breath, Prana ("wind", Maruta)
Tiṣṭhate: introduces itself with certainty ("arises, dwells, is constant", sthā)
Khe-carī mudrā: Khechari Mudra (the "Seal of the Airspace")
Tasmin: at this (Tad)
Sthāne: Place (Sthana)
Na: no ("not one", na)
Saṃśayaḥ: Doubt (Samshaya) || 43 || |
When the Vayu has ceased to move in the right and the left nostrils and has begun to flow in the middle path, then the Khecharî Mudrâ can be accomplished there. There is no doubt about this. |
