श्रीभगवानुवाच ।भूय एव महाबाहो शृणु मे परमं वचः ।यत्तेऽहं प्रीयमाणाय वक्ष्यामि हितकाम्यया ॥ १०-१॥

śrībhagavānuvāca ।bhūya eva mahābāho śṛṇu me paramaṃ vacaḥ ।yatte'haṃ prīyamāṇāya vakṣyāmi hitakāmyayā ॥ 10-1॥

श्रीभगवान śrībhagavān = the Blessed  Lord, the Blessed one.;

उवाच uvāca =  he said, he spoke.;

भूय bhūya =  again, once more.;

एव eva =   indeed (used as a rhythmic filler).;

महाबाहो mahābāho  =   0 Mighty Armed One, epithet of Arjuna and other warriors.;

शृणु śṛṇu =   hear!;

मे me =   of me, from me.; 

परमं paramaṃ  =   supreme, highest.;

वचः vacas =  word, advice.;

यद yad =   which.;

ते te  =   to thee.;

अहम aham =   I.; 

प्रीयमाणाय prīyamāṇāya  =   to the delighting one, to the one who is beloved.;

वक्ष्यामि vakṣyāmi  =   I shall speak, I shall tell.;

हितकाम्यया hitakāmyayā =   with desire for welfare.;
