प्रणम्य श्रीगुरुं नाथं स्वात्मारामेण योगिना ।केवलं राजयोगाय हठविद्योपदिश्यते ॥ १.२ ॥ |
Pranamya śrīghurum nātham svātmārāmena yoginā kevalam rājayogāya hathavidyopadiśyate 2 |
Praṇamya - to bow in respect;
Śrī - (before the) venerable;
Guruṁ - teacher, master;
Nāthaṁ - the guardian;
Svātmārāmeṇa - Svatmarama (name of the author);
Yoginā - by the yogi;
Kevalaṁ - only or absolute;
Rāja-yogāya - for (the purpose of) royal yoga;
Haṭha - hard or determined;
Vidyā - knowledge;
Upadiśyate - is taught.
