श्रीआदिनाथाय नमोऽस्तु तस्मैयेनोपदिष्टा हठयोगविद्या ।विभ्राजते प्रोन्नतराजयोगम्आरोढुं इच्छोरधिरोहिणीव ॥ १.१ ॥ |
Śrī ādi nāthāya namostu tasmai yenopadishtā hathayogavidyā vibhrājate pronnatarājayogam ārodhum ichchoradhirohinīva |
| shree - the Venerable;
Ādi-nāthāya - primordial Lord, Protector, Master;
Namas - Reverence, worship;
Astu - be;
Tasmai - this;
Yena - by the;
Upadiṣṭā - has been taught;
Haṭha-yoga - Hatha Yoga;
Vidyā - knowledge;
Vibhrājate - the radiance;
Pronnata - supremely sublime;
Rāja-yogam - royal yoga (Raja yoga);
Āroḍhum - to climb;
Icchoḥ - for the one who wishes;
Adhirohiṇī - ladder;
Iva - as. |
Salutations to Âdinâtha (Śiva), who expounded the knowledge of Hatha Yoga which, like a ladder, leads the aspirant to the supreme Râja Yoga. |
